Catherine Buchanan

Cat joined Valiant in 2008 as an IT recruiter and has earned her way to now managing the recruiting and human resources teams. With more than 20 years of professional experience and over 14 years of information technology talent acquisition experience, she is an integral part of her team by managing the full life cycle hiring process. She possesses the proven ability to manage the recruiting and human resources teams in identifying, interviewing, and hiring talented IT professionals for their federal, state, and local government clients. She is known for her organization and ability to analyze situations; then develop and implement processes to ensure efficiency. She places a high value on the honesty and integrity of her and her team’s work.

Cat earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She was born and raised in North Carolina and now resides in Wake Forest with her husband and 2 children. Outside of spending time with her family and friends, some of her favorite activities include wakeboarding, snowboarding, music concerts, and traveling. She equally loves visiting the mountains and beaches of North Carolina.
