Antonio Soares

Solution Manager at Valispace

Antonio Soares has had a varied career in engineering, journalism and photography. In 2020, they began working as a Solution Manager for Valispace. From 2018 to 2017, they were a Mechanical Engineer (CFD) at FSD blueCAPE Lda and at the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. During this time they participated in fluid flow and heat transfer analysis for automotive components, Motorsport aerodynamic development, wastewater and water treatment plants, agricultural equipment, fire smoke concentration, domestic and commercial water heaters, and electric propulsion in aeronautical applications. In 2017, they were a Part-time assistant/consultant for Mob&Up and an Adjunct to the Head of Machine Elements Laboratory at the Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. In 2014, they completed an Academic Internship at Micronorma. From 2010 to 2009, they were a Freelance Writer and Photographer for AJEVS, an Assistant Videographer for the Macau Grand Prix Committee, and a Journalist/Photojournalist for the Macau Daily Times Newspaper. In 2008, they were a Photographer/Videographer/Translator/Proof-reader for AJEVS.

Antonio Soares has an extensive educational background. Antonio started their studies in 1989 at Academia de Música de Santa Cecília. From 1994 to 1998, they attended Liceu de Macau, where they studied the Science stream. In 1998, they graduated from Escola Portuguesa de Macau with a High School Diploma in the Science branch. In 2001, they obtained a Vocational degree in Guitar from Los Angeles College of Music. Antonio then attended University of Macau, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communications in 2006 and a Master's degree in Communication & New Media in 2008. In 2011, they completed their Integrated Master's in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Additionally, Antonio obtained a Level 2 Engineer in Mechanical Engineering from Ordem dos Engenheiros in 2019 and is a Bootcamper from Pitch Bootcamp.
