Jose Aguayo

Jose Aguayo currently serves as the Chief People Officer at Vallarta Supermarkets, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this role, Jose was the Vice President of Human Resources at The Meruelo Group from February 2021 to June 2023, and at Cardenas Markets LLC from June 2014 to December 2020. Jose’s career also includes experience as Corporate Director of Human Resources at Bodega Latina Corporation d.b.a. El Super from June 2002 to June 2014. Jose Aguayo obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources from California State University, Long Beach, and is currently pursuing an MBA in Business Administration and Management at Pepperdine Graziadio Business School, with studies ongoing since December 1998.
