VP Medical Affairs, Physician Wellness & Development at Valley Children's Healthcare

Karen Dahl has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in pediatric care. Karen started their career at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in 2005, where they held the position of Division Chief, Pediatric Infectious Disease. During their time there, they successfully expanded the Infectious Disease Division, started an Antimicrobial Stewardship Program, and transitioned the Infection Control Program into an independent Pediatric Infection Prevention Program. In 2014, Dahl joined Valley Children's Healthcare as the VP Quality and Patient Safety, where they worked until January 2022. During their tenure, they held various roles, including VP Quality, Patient Safety, & Medical Affairs, and VP Medical Affairs, Physician Wellness & Development. Karen played a key role in ensuring the quality and safety of patient care.

Karen Dahl earned their Bachelor's Degree in Applied Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1989 to 1992. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at Washington University in St. Louis from 1992 to 1997.
