VHS Director, Community Health at Valley Health

Jason Craig, EdD, has a diverse work experience spanning across several industries. Jason is currently working as the VHS Director of Community Health at Valley Health since January 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Urgent Care - Central Region at Valley Health from September 2018 to January 2022.

In addition to their role at Valley Health, Jason has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Shenandoah University since September 2013 and at Nova Southeastern University from August 2016 to December 2019.

Before their academic appointments, Jason held various positions at Grafton Integrated Health Network from July 2008 to August 2018, including Clinical Director of Community Based Services, Director of ABA Services, and Assistant Educational Administrator.

Prior to Grafton Integrated Health Network, they worked as a Behavior Specialist at Hillsborough County Public Schools from November 2007 to May 2008, and as a Special Education Teacher from December 2004 to November 2007.

Jason also gained experience as a Staff Development Trainer at Florida Diagnostic and Learning Resources from June 2006 to May 2008, and as a Child Protective Investigator at Florida Department of Children and Families from November 2002 to December 2004.

Their earlier career includes roles such as Mental Health Case Manager at Peace River Center for Personal Development, Inc. from March 2002 to November 2002, and Mental Health Technician at Shands Rehab Hospital from May 2001 to March 2002.

Jason Craig, EdD holds a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, which they earned from 2011 to 2014. Prior to this, they obtained a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in ASD from Virginia Commonwealth University from 2009 to 2011. Additionally, they completed a Masters of Science in Educational Administration from the University of Scranton between 2005 and 2007. Their undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, was earned from the University of Florida from 1996 to 2001.
