Amber Raye Ellis is an experienced mental health professional currently serving as the Clinical Program Director at Valley Hope since April 2024. With a career spanning over two decades, Amber has also been the founder of Amber's Thread Counseling since June 2013. Previous roles include Interim Manager of Staff Development and Education and Supervisor of Education and Staff Development at Arapahoe House, and an EPIC Coach for the Colorado Department of Criminal Justice. Amber's therapeutic experience includes serving as a Primary Therapist and Clinical Supervisor at Arapahoe House. Academic credentials include a BA in Psychology from Metropolitan State University of Denver and a graduate degree from Pacifica Graduate Institute.

We opened our doors in 1967 in the small town of Norton, Kansas, which remains our corporate headquarters today.
