Joshua Matthews

Joshua Matthews, AICP, currently serves as the Principal Planner on the Capital Planning team at Valley Metro RPTA, with a focus on delivering high-capacity transit projects to the Design and Construction team. With experience ranging from Planner I to Planner III, Joshua has managed significant capital projects such as the $94 million OMC Expansion, and contributed to multiple planning teams, assisting in various environmental assessments and project justification analyses. Previous experience includes a role as a Planning Technician at ReSEED Advisors, where support was provided for drafting rezoning requests and site plans. Joshua holds a Master of Science in Urban and Environmental Planning and a Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning from Arizona State University, and recently completed a Professional Certificate in Project Management from UC Irvine.
