Emily Carlson has extensive experience in the healthcare industry. Emily began their career in 2000 as a Registered Nurse at Northridge Hospital Medical Center, where they provided bedside care to orthopedic and oncology patients. Emily also educated patients and their families on medical-surgical procedures and therapeutic regimens.

In 2003, Emily became a Clinical Supervisor at the same hospital, where they served as a resource for staff, physicians, and other health team members. Emily provided education on medication management, nursing care, and policies and procedures. Emily also monitored the workload and workflow of staff.

Emily then worked as a Clinical Nurse Educator at Mount Saint Mary's University from 2016 to 2018. In this role, they provided education and training to aspiring nurses.

Emily Carlson, MSN, RN, ONC earned their Associate's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Pierce Community College from 1999 to 2001. Following this, they attended Holy Names University from 2001 to 2005, where they completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Emily continued their education at California State University-Dominguez Hills from 2005 to 2011, obtaining a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Nursing Education.
