Xavier Van der Ploeg has extensive work experience in various roles within the aerospace industry. Xavier started their career in 2001 at Aerojet Rocketdyne, where they held positions such as Project Engineer, Chief Engineer, and Program Manager. From 2011 to 2022, they served as the Director and Senior Director of Supply Chain Management in different business units at Aerojet Rocketdyne. In 2022, they joined Valley Tech Systems, Inc. as the Executive Director of Operations and later became the Vice President of Operations.
Xavier Van der Ploeg began their education in 1982 at the Colorado School of Mines, where they studied Petroleum Engineering until 1984. Xavier then transferred to Texas A&M University from 1984 to 1986 to further explore Petroleum Engineering, although it is unclear if they obtained a degree during this time. Finally, from 1987 to 1992, Xavier attended California State University-Sacramento, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
