Heather Floyd has a long history of work experience, starting in 1996 with Southwest Transmission COOP as a Transmission Services Administrator and Administrative Secretary. In 2009, they began working for Sierra Southwest Cooperative, Inc. as a Cooperative and Community Events and Outreach Administrator and Communications and Marketing Administrator. In 2015, they took on the role of Campaign Manager for Drew John for State House/Senate. In 2016, they became a Public Relations Specialist and Marketing Representative for Valley TeleCom Group, as well as the Business Owner of Marketing Now. Most recently in 2019, they became a Candidate for Cochise County Supervisor - District 3.

Heather Floyd completed a BS in Business Marketing from the University of Phoenix in 2002, with a field of study in Marketing. In 1989, they completed an Associate of Arts (AA) from The Art Center Design College-Tucson, with a field of study in Advertising. In 2013 and 2014, they attended Project Centrl for Rural Leadership/Advocacy. In 2017 and 2018, they attended the Dodie Londen Excellence in Public Service Series for Public Policy/Government. In 2012, they obtained a Certified Cooperative Communicator from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
