Kimmo Vatanen

Kimmo Vatanen has extensive experience in automation and project management within the paper machine industry. Currently serving as an Automation Site Manager and Automation Advisor at Valmet since April 1997, Kimmo is responsible for small bore piping and the installation and testing of automation systems for paper machine projects. Prior to this role, Kimmo held similar positions at Metso for over 16 years, overseeing automation and piping projects. Earlier career experience includes working as a machine fitter at Nordberg-Lokomo, where responsibilities included assembling Locotrack mobile crushing plants. Kimmo Vatanen holds a Bachelor of Science in Machine Automation from Tampere Polytechnic and an Engineer Fitter degree from Tampella vocational school.
