Tung Heffernan

Tung Heffernan has extensive experience in engineering, particularly in the pulp and paper industry. Currently serving as a System Process Engineer at Valmet since June 2013, Tung provides commissioning and ongoing support for various projects, assisting in operational and project engineering tasks. Prior experience includes a Chemical Engineering internship at Kemira where independent laboratory studies were conducted, and co-founding the UW Biodiesel Co-operative to promote renewable energy initiatives. Additionally, Tung interned as a Utility Process Engineer at Georgia-Pacific LLC, focusing on process control improvements. Tung holds a Bachelor of Science in Bioresource Science and Engineering from the University of Washington and an Associate's degree in Chemical Engineering from Bellevue College.
