J. Timothy Donahue

Tim serves as president of lighting and traffic. He joined Valmont in April 2018 as the vice president and general manager of the Engineered Support Structures (ESS) North America region. In his current role, Tim is responsible for developing and implementing global lighting and traffic strategy and profitability improvement, covering 23 countries and 35 manufacturing facilities. The portfolio of products encompasses engineered structures in the lighting, traffic, communications and transportation segments.Prior to joining Valmont, Tim worked for Sprint Corporation in Overland Park, KS, where he led various business units domestically and internationally. In his 20-year career with Sprint, Tim served in a variety of positions, including regional president, vice president of sales and CMO of Sprint Business.

Tim earned his BS in business management from McNeese State University and his MBA from Harvard University.
