Vera Bürger

Vera Bürger has extensive work experience in various roles within the pharmaceutical and clinical research industries. Their most recent position is as the Director of Clinical Strategy and Development Project Lead for the Chikungunya Vaccine Program at Valneva. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Clinical Project Manager at Octapharma from 2017 to 2021. From 2009 to 2017, they served as the Head of Clinical Development Operations at AFFiRiS AG, and from 2003 to 2009, they held the role of Head of Clinical Development at Intercell AG (now Valneva). Vera's earlier experience includes working as a Study Director at Lundbeck from 1996 to 2003 and as a Medical Information specialist at Abbott in 1995.

Vera Bürger attended the University of Vienna from 1988 to 1995, where they earned a Mag. degree in Nutritional Sciences. In addition to their university education, they obtained certifications such as Group 3 Biomedical Investigators, Key Study Personnel, Research Monitors from the CITI Program in December 2022. Vera also holds a USA High School Diploma, which they obtained in July 1987 from Everly, Iowa, USA.
