Laurent Gautier has a wide range of work experience in the fields of data science, healthcare, and software engineering. Laurent is currently working as the VP of Data Science Insights at Valo since November 2021. Before that, they were at Sanofi where they held several roles including Principal Data Scientist in Virtual Health Care from January 2021 to October 2021, Head of Applied AI Architecture in Medical from November 2019 to January 2021, and Senior Data Scientist from October 2018 to November 2019. At Sanofi, they worked on various data science and engineering projects, including data analysis, machine learning, forecasting based on Real World Evidence (RWE), and developing a data platform for a patients' journey.

Prior to their time at Sanofi, Laurent worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Verily Life Sciences from February 2017 to October 2018. Laurent'sresponsibilities included software engineering, machine learning, data analysis, and subject matter expertise to improve healthcare for Google Life Sciences. Laurent also worked on fast prototyping and pitching ideas using data and evidence.

Before Verily, Laurent worked as a Senior Investigator at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research from August 2013 to October 2016. Laurent was involved in research projects during this time.

Laurent's earlier experience includes being the Head of Core Facility and Senior Researcher at the Technical University of Denmark from September 2008 to August 2013. Laurent also worked as the Head of Bioinformatics at Ipsogen from 2007 to 2008, a Senior Scientist at Eli Lilly from 2004 to 2007, and a Software Engineer at LION bioscience from 1999 to 2001.

Throughout their career, Laurent has demonstrated expertise in data science, software engineering, machine learning, and healthcare. Laurent has experience working with various technologies such as AWS Cloud, Apache Spark, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Laurent Gautier obtained a Master's Degree in Engineering from INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon. Following this, Laurent attended DTU - Technical University of Denmark from 2001 to 2004, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioinformatics.
