Charles Martin

Charles brings exceptional product definition, operations research, and marketing skills, plus a strong background in service parts, logistics, and manufacturing. He was most recently Manager of i2 Technologies’ Service Solution. Prior to i2 Charles was Senior Consultant, Spectrum Technology Group where he lead four major reengineering projects.

Before Spectrum Charles founded consulting businesses devoted to helping manufacturers improve operations and large software development organizations improve their technology planning. Prior experience includes Manager of Systems Analysis Group, Booz-Allen & Hamilton; Manager Data Systems Engineering, The Analytic Sciences Corp; and Systems Engineer, GE Space Division where he managed GE R&D program in Advanced Planning and Scheduling algorithms that resulted in $50M of simulation business. Charles has an AB in Mathematics from Harvard, and a Ph.D., in Mathematical Logic from the University of California, Berkeley. He is certified in Production and Inventory Management by APICS.

Charles is the Author of the User-Centered Requirements Analysis textbook and a 3-day Analyzing User Requirements professional seminar resulting in 25,000 systems analysts improving their software definition.
