Valor Collegiate Academies
Meghan Mitchell has a diverse work experience in the education field. Meghan currently holds the role of Chief Academic Officer at Valor Collegiate Academies, a position they have held since June 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Managing Director of Academics at the same organization from February 2019 to May 2021. Meghan also worked as the Chief Academic Officer at KIPP Nashville from July 2010 to February 2019. Additionally, they were a part of the TN Department of Education's Common Core Leadership Council from February 2013 to May 2015. Earlier in their career, they worked at KIPP DC as a Teacher and Instructional Coach from July 2003 to May 2010, and at KIPP Bayview Academy as an Academic Dean from July 2006 to July 2007. Meghan began their career in education as a 4th and 5th grade teacher at Teach For America from July 2001 to July 2003.
Meghan Mitchell attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1997 to 2001. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a focus on History and Philosophy.
