Tanya Raquel Prewitt-White, PhD, CMPC

Tanya Raquel Prewitt-White, PhD, CMPC has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and institutions. Tanya Raquel is currently the owner of Dr. Tanya Raquel, a company they have been involved with since 2014. In addition to this, they work as a Performance Coach at Valor Performance since 2021.

Between 2016 and 2021, they served as a Faculty Member at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to this, they held the roles of Program Director and Instructor at Adler University from 2014 to 2016 and Instructor at Northern Illinois University from 2012 to 2013.

Tanya also taught as an Instructor at DePaul University for a brief period in 2013 and worked as an Assistant Professor at York College from 2010 to 2012.

Tanya Raquel Prewitt-White, PhD, CMPC has an extensive education history in the field of sports studies and psychology. Tanya Raquel began their educational journey at Carthage College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology, Exercise Science, and Physical Education between the years 2000 and 2004.

Further pursuing their academic and professional interests, Tanya went on to attend the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Sport Studies with a Specialization in Sport Psychology from 2005 to 2007.

Building on their master's degree, Tanya continued their studies at the same institution, completing their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Sports Studies with a Specialty in Sport Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville between 2007 and 2010.

Tanya's educational background illustrates a strong commitment to the field of sports studies, particularly in the area of sport psychology. Through their extensive education, they have developed a solid foundation of knowledge and expertise to contribute to the field.
