Kathy Luo has gained extensive work experience in the software engineering field.

Kathy started their career in 2011 as an intern at Southern Photonics and later worked as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare in 2013.

In 2015, they joined Vodafone as a Discover Technology Graduate and completed placements in Customer Care and HR. Kathy then became an Agile Developer, specializing in React Native, and worked on the rebuild of the Vodafone NZ customer self-service application. Kathy also worked as a full-stack developer in the E-Shop team, using the Oracle ATG framework and Oracle WebCenter Sites.

In 2017, Kathy joined Air New Zealand as a Software Engineer, focusing on React Native development. Kathy contributed to the creation of a new internal iOS and Android application for Cabin Crew, as well as a rebuild of the flight seat selector.

From 2019 to 2021, they worked at PVH Corp. as a Senior Full Stack Developer and later as a Lead Software Engineer. Kathy'sresponsibilities included developing the B2B webshop for Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein using React, GraphQL, and Typescript.

Currently, Kathy is employed at Valora as a Senior Software Engineer / Team Lead. Kathy is involved in building the Valora crypto wallet using technologies such as React Native, Redux, Redux Sagas, and node.js.

Throughout their career, Kathy has consistently demonstrated proficiency in various programming languages and frameworks, as well as a strong ability to work in agile environments and contribute to CI/CD practices. Kathy'swork experience showcases their adaptability and expertise in software engineering.

Kathy Luo has a diverse education history. Kathy started by pursuing a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Optoelectronics at The University of Auckland from 2010 to 2014. In 2012, they also studied at the University of Toronto, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics, which lasted from 2012 to 2013. Kathy then continued their education at The University of Auckland, obtaining a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from 2014 to 2015.
