Paul S. Hammer, MD

Paul S. Hammer, MD has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Paul S. started their career in the US Navy, where they served in various roles, including Director of the Naval Center for Combat & Operational Stress Control and Director of the Defense Centers of Excellence for Psych Health and Traumatic Brain Injury. In 2013, they became the Commanding Officer of the Navy Medicine Information Systems Support Activity.

After leaving the Navy, Dr. Hammer established their private practice as a Psychiatrist and Organizational Consultant in 2017. Paul S. provided psychiatric services and consultation until October 2021.

In 2019, Dr. Hammer joined Island Hospital as a Staff Psychiatrist. Their most recent role is as the Chief Medical Officer at Valorant Health, starting in September 2021.

Following this, they attended Uniformed Services University from 1983 to 1988, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Medicine.
