Amanda Tuohy

Amanda Tuohy is an experienced instructor and clinical mental health counselor currently serving as an Instructor/Teaching Artist at The Joffrey Ballet since September 2022. With a robust background in dance and mental health, Amanda holds the position of Associate Artistic Director at Indiana Ballet Theatre NW INC since 1993 and has also directed educational programs within the Indiana Ballet Theatre. Experience includes providing experiential therapy at Porter-Starke Services, where Amanda integrates Dance/Movement Therapy as a licensed counselor. Other notable roles include Dance/Movement Therapist at Timberline Knolls and Mental Health Therapist at Crown Counseling Services. Amanda's education encompasses a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Valparaiso University and a Master's in Dance/Movement Therapy from Columbia College Chicago, complemented by undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Dance.
