Caroline Ban serves as the Program Director and Assistant Professor at Valparaiso University since January 2021, following a prior role as an Instructor at the same institution from September 2016 to August 2019. An independent scholar and artist since August 2019, Caroline is currently developing a public project on policing and community in Northwest Indiana as an Indiana Humanities Action Fellow. Previous experience includes consultative roles with Beyond Housing, where Caroline managed government affairs and collaborated with local officials, as well as positions in municipal management and community development across various organizations. Caroline holds a BA in Psychology and Spanish from Carleton College, a Master's in Local Government Management and Community Development from Washington University in St. Louis, and is presently pursuing a doctorate in Social Work at the University of St. Thomas.
