Matti Parkkila

Co-founder and software developer at Valpas

Matti Parkkila has a diverse work experience spanning from 2013 to the present day. In 2013, they were hired as a Digitalization Project Archivist at the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa (HUS). During their time there, they rewrote instructions and content for the website, created data visualisation tools in Excel/VBA, and was involved in spreading the Lean way of thinking in the archives. In 2014, they became the eSports Team Manager for Team 4ASC, where they spent thousands of hours playing Dota 2 on a competitive level and helped five talented Finnish players grow as a team. In 2015, they co-founded Suhina Software and was a software developer, and they were also the eSports Team Manager for STARK.gg. In 2016, they co-founded Suhina Solutions and was a software developer, and in 2017 they co-founded Valpas and was a software developer.

Matti Parkkila attended Ressu Upper Secondary School from 2011 to 2014 and obtained a Matriculation Examination. Matti then attended Aalto University from 2014 to 2017 and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Information Networks.
