Colin Talanda

Colin Talanda is a seasoned engineering professional specializing in water resources management and mine water management. Current employment at Valterra Platinum as Principal Engineer began in June 2025, following a brief tenure at Anglo Platinum in the same role. Prior to these positions, Colin held the title of Principal Engineer at Anglo American from August 2019 to March 2025, where responsibilities included water resources management across Africa and Australia. Colin's extensive experience at WRP Consulting Engineers spanned from 2006 to 2019, culminating in the roles of Director and Senior Engineer within the Water Resources Engineering and Management Division. Earlier career experience includes serving as Divisional Manager at the Agricultural Research Council from 2003 to 2006.
