Roy Smolarz

Mr. Smolarz joined Valtus as a Senior Advisor in April 2020. Since February 2019, he has also been Managing Director of RS Global Gaming Finance LLC (Las Vegas), where he advises on real estate and hospitality M&A transactions. He previously was a Managing Director with Growth Capital Services/ Analyst Financial Group, a FINRA licensed broker-dealer, from 2015- to 2019, where he maintained gaming and real estate investment banking practice. He also concurrently served as Of Counsel on international corporate matters to the national Wilson Elser Law Firm in their Las Vegas and New York offices (2015-17). He principally focuses on the real estate, lodging, and gaming sectors regarding M&A, joint ventures, due diligence, and debt and equity financings. Mr. Smolarz has over 35 years of corporate legal and financing experience, principally working with gaming, hospitality, multifamily development, and homebuilding companies.

Mr. Smolarz is admitted and active in the New York and New Jersey Bars and is a CPA. He received his JD degree from Seton Hall University Law School and maintains the following FINRA registrations: Series 7, 63, and 65. He is a frequent speaker at real estate and gaming industry conferences sponsored by IMN and the American Bar Association. He also is a graduate of Bernard Baruch College, School of Business, where he received a BBA with high honors.

Mr. Smolarz presently resides in Lake Las Vegas, Nevada, and New York.
