Gary Nelson

Gary Nelson is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in HVAC and building services mechanical systems. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Van Boerum and Frank Associates since April 2014, Gary has previously held positions such as Mechanical-HVAC Engineer at M + W Group and Chief Mechanical Engineer at SmithGroupJJR, where responsibilities included selecting and designing HVAC systems for a variety of building types, including data centers. Gary's career spans several notable firms, including Pinnacle Engineering, DLR Group, Farris Engineering, HDR, HLM Engineer, Black & Veatch, and the South Dakota Department of Transportation. Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from South Dakota State University and is a graduate of Winner High School in South Dakota.
