Lex Wagenaar

Lex Wagenaar has a diverse work experience in the field of compliance risk management, privacy, information risk management, and IT auditing. Lex started their career at Accenture Technology Solutions as a Stagiair in 2009, followed by a role as a Stagiair at BDO Nederland from 2008 to 2010. Lex then worked as an IT Auditor at BDO Nederland from 2010 to 2014. In 2015, they joined Van Lanschot Kempen as a Senior IT Auditor, and later became the Senior Information Risk Manager from 2017 to 2021. Lex then transitioned to the role of Privacy Officer and Functionaris Gegevensbescherming at Van Lanschot Kempen from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they are serving as an Executive Director in Compliance Risk Management at Van Lanschot Kempen.

Lex Wagenaar holds a Master's Degree in IT Audit from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), which they obtained from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in Bedrijfskundige Informatica from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht) between 2006 and 2010. Lex Wagenaar attended St-Gregorius College for high school from 2000 to 2006. Further back, their education began at St. Paulusschool Utrecht in 1991, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period.
