August Runge

August Runge is an experienced professional in the dredging and marine construction industry, currently serving as the Area Director for Europe and Canada at Van Oord since March 2007. Over the years, August has held various significant roles within the company, including Area Manager for North & Central America and Managing Director, with responsibilities including large-scale projects such as Orange Island and Bayelsa Airport. Prior to these roles, August worked as Deputy Managing Director and Project Manager on numerous high-profile reclamation and dredging projects, including The World Islands and the Deepening Port of La Rochelle. August's career began with Van Oord as a Project Engineer, after obtaining a Master’s Degree in Marine Engineering from Delft University of Technology in 1997.
