Berend Morrien

Berend Morrien is an experienced professional in offshore wind projects, currently serving as the Superintendent for Baltic Power at Van Oord since May 2022, overseeing foundation installation on the HLV Svanen. Previous roles at Van Oord include Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent for various offshore wind initiatives. Earlier experience includes a trainee position at Alewijnse and a graduate student role at Jumbo Maritime. Berend's skill set is further enriched by internships at Conoship International B.V. and Damen Shipyards Group, as well as instructional experience at Zeilschool Zuidlaardermeer. Berend holds a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Maritime Engineering from NHL Hogeschool and a minor in Offshore Engineering from Avans University of Applied Sciences. Early education culminated in a Havo diploma from Luzac College.
