Jorrit Thijssen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product development and engineering. Currently serving as Lead Engineer at Van Raam since June 2019, Jorrit previously worked as a Business Development Manager CAM at CAD2M, where responsibilities included guiding companies in choosing CAM solutions during a time of increasing importance of production process optimization and automation. Prior experience includes roles as Junior/Senior Product Developer at QDP Quality Design & Products, focusing on product design and manufacturability, as well as internships at DRU Verwarming, quub interior concepts, and KEMA. Jorrit holds an engineering degree in Industrial Product Design from HAN University of Applied Sciences, completed in 2009.

Van Raam produce bicycles for one or several persons, specializing in tricycles, wheelchair bicycles, tandems, side-by-side tandems, transport bikes, the scooter bike, walking aids and low step through bikes. With 180 employees and by continuously innovating, Van Raam has been making bicycles for over 100 years, with a focus on adapted bicycles for over 35 years. The Van Raam bicycles are for children or adults with a disability or for people who are looking for more stability and security when cycling.
