Dane Dobson

Dane Dobson has a strong background in the field of finishing, with over 25 years of experience in various managerial roles. Dane started their career at SMED International as a Finishing Manager and then moved on to Ontario Store Fixtures, where they held the position of Finishing Manager overseeing multiple spray lines, booths, and a large workforce. Dane then worked at Alphason Designs and WAM Industries as a Finishing Manager, responsible for managing production and automated spray machines.

Dane also worked as a Finishing Technical Manager at Saturn Millwork & Kitchens, where they implemented cost-saving measures and improved finishing systems. Dane later joined Phuc Thang Fine Furniture Co., Ltd as a Finishing Technical Manager and successfully implemented new spray equipment and solvent recycling machines, resulting in significant material and cost savings.

After that, they worked at Jonathan Charles Fine Furniture/The Markor Group as a Finishing Technical Manager, where they focused on problem-solving, purchasing, and implementing systems, as well as auditing and improving finishing departments.

Most recently, Dane served as the Head of Finishing at VAN THIEL & CO, where they played a key role in setting up QA and QC processes, training personnel, implementing new spray systems, and advising on factory purchases and setup. Dane also introduced old techniques and new coatings to achieve luxury finishing.
