Carrie McInerney

Carrie McInerney, PE, currently serves as the Director of Transportation Systems at VHB, a position held since March 2023. Previous experience includes serving as the Manager of the Transportation Technology Group at MassDOT from May 2020 to March 2023, and as Section Manager for Advanced Technologies for Surface Transportation at HDR from September 2019 to May 2020. Carrie also held the role of Deputy Director of Tolling at MassDOT from July 2014 to August 2019 and was a Senior ITS Engineer at VHB from March 2002 to July 2014. Early career positions include Traffic Engineer at the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority and Transportation Engineer roles at FREDERIC R. HARRIS LTD. and the Massachusetts Highway Department. Carrie earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Norwich University, completing the degree between 1987 and 1992.
