Joseph Balskus

Joseph Balskus, P.E., PTOE, RSP1 is a prominent leader in the transportation sector in southern New England with extensive experience in both academia and industry. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Central Connecticut State University and the University of New Haven, Joseph Balskus teaches courses in transportation and highway engineering. As the Director of Transportation Systems at VHB since May 2017, Joseph Balskus focuses on enhancing transportation system services, specializing in urban traffic signal systems, modern roundabouts, and intelligent transportation systems. Additionally, Joseph Balskus chairs the Roundabout Standing Committee for the Institute of Transportation Engineers and the Transportation Professional Certification Board, contributing to professional certification efforts in the field.
