Tom O’Neal

In addition to oversight of the clinic’s Information Services and Technology, Tom serves as the HIPAA Privacy and Security Official and the Director of Medical Records.

Tom joined TVC as the Director of Information Services in early December 2005. Previously Tom served as a Senior Software Engineer for Misys Computer Systems where he managed a team responsible for the design, engineering, and development of an enterprise level medical practice management system. During his time with Misys, Tom also served in the US Army National Guard as a Helicopter Instructor Pilot.

Tom received his Bachelor’s degree in 1985 from Virginia Tech and his Masters of Business Administration in 2006 from the University of Phoenix.

Tom is an aviation enthusiast and is licensed to fly both rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft. He is married to Emily O’Neal and has one grown son.
