Alireza Kamyabi is a Policy Analyst at Vancouver Coastal Health, focusing on local health policy implementation since June 2023. Previously, Kamyabi served as a Community Coordinator in the Office of the Chief Medical Health Officer, working to reduce health inequities in the North Shore and Sea-to-Sky Corridor. With a comprehensive academic background, Kamyabi holds a Master of Science in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from The University of British Columbia, where research involved calcium signaling in astrocytes. Kamyabi also played significant leadership roles as the Founder and Inaugural Chair of the Graduate Student Societies of British Columbia and as Vice President External Relations for the Graduate Student Society at UBC, advocating successfully for funding in graduate education.
