Megan Chen

Megan Chen is a skilled professional with a strong background in research and academic support. Currently serving as a Surgical Oncology and HPB Research Assistant at Vancouver Coastal Health since January 2023, Megan also holds the position of Residence Advisor at The University of British Columbia since August 2021, having previously worked as a Summer Residence Advisor. Prior roles include a Recurrent Pregnancy Loss Research Assistant at BC Women's Hospital and Health Centre, and various positions in the ophthalmology field, including Ophthalmologic Medical Office Assistant at Dr. T Alan Demco Eye Physician and Surgery Centre and Optometric Assistant at West 10th Eyes. In addition, Megan has experience in academic coordination and marketing roles, including their tenure as Academic Experience Coordinator with the Science Undergraduate Society of UBC Vancouver. Megan holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Computer Science from The University of British Columbia, graduating in 2023, and obtained a High School Diploma from York House School in 2019.
