Brian Melo began their work experience in 2002 as a Process Operator at Teck Resources Limited, where they worked until 2009. In 2009, they joined the Vancouver Convention Centre, initially working as a Shift Engineer. Brian then transitioned to the role of Power Engineer/Wastewater Treatment Operator, and eventually became the Chief Engineer in March 2018.
Brian Melo's education history begins in 1999 when they attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology, where they earned a Power and Process Engineering Diploma in Power Engineering, completing their studies in 2001.
