Kate Hammer

Kate Hammer is currently working as the Vice President of Engagement at Vancouver Foundation since October 2022. Prior to this, Kate held positions at Vancity as the Director of Government Relations and Senior Advisor in the same department from November 2019 to October 2022. With experience at the Office of the Premier of Ontario as a Senior Policy Advisor from March 2017 to June 2018, Kate also worked at the Ontario Government as a Senior Policy Advisor to the Minister of Education from November 2014 to February 2017. Starting their career as a Reporter at The Globe and Mail, Kate later became an Intern/Metro Stringer Reporter at The New York Times. Kate holds a Master of Science degree from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Queen's University.
