Jamie Slater

Jamie Slater, CPA, CA, currently serves as the Director of Finance at Vancouver Island Regional Library since November 2024. Prior experience includes leadership roles at the City of Nanaimo, encompassing Manager of Financial Services and Special Projects and Manager of Revenue Services from November 2021 to November 2024. Jamie also held positions such as Manager of Accounting Services and Senior Accountant at the Regional District of Nanaimo, along with the Director of Financial Services at the District of Lantzville. Earlier experience includes various roles within the City of Nanaimo, starting as a Grants Coordinator and progressing to Manager of Revenue Services and Senior Accountant. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Business Administration from Okanagan University College and a Chartered Accountant designation from the Chartered Accountants School of Business, complemented by a Public Sector Certificate Program from CPA Canada.
