Shirley Zhi

Graduate Research Assistant at Vancouver Prostate Centre

Shirley Zhi is a dedicated research professional, currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at Vancouver Prostate Centre since September 2024. Previously, Shirley worked as a Research Technician in Early Discovery at AbCellera from July 2021 to June 2024, contributing to multiple poster presentations at prestigious international conferences such as AACR2023 and AACR2024. Earlier experience includes a Laboratory Technician role at Virogin Biotech, where molecular cloning techniques were performed to support virus production quality control, and a Co-op Student position at Zymeworks Inc., focused on assay development for antibody drug conjugates. Shirley has also contributed to teaching as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant and has engaged in research at BC Children's Hospital Research Institute, investigating centrosome amplification in B-ALL. Shirley holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Oncology at The University of British Columbia.
