David Haynes

David Haynes is a highly experienced academic and medical professional currently serving as Professor, Vice Chairman, and Chief Academic Officer at Vanderbilt University Medical Center since May 1995. His expertise spans multiple roles, including Division Director of Neurotology, Director of the Cochlear Implant Program, and Co-Director of the Vanderbilt Skull Base Center. Additional leadership positions include Medical Director of the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Cochlear Implant Program and Director of The Otology Group of Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Cochlear Implant Program. Alongside this role, David Haynes holds positions with the Hearing Health Foundation and the American Cochlear Implant Alliance as a Medical Director and board member, respectively. David Haynes earned a Doctor of Medicine from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center and completed a diverse array of training and fellowships at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, culminating in a Master's degree in Healthcare Management.
