Donna Corsi Skupien has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Donna Corsi began their career as a Clinical Project Manager at Medical and Technical Research Associates (MTRA) in 1987. Donna Corsi later founded and served as the Chief Operating Officer of Quest Research Institute, where they built and sold the first dedicated clinical trial center and consulting firm in southeastern Michigan. Donna then joined Meharry Medical College as the Associate Director of the Clinical and Translational Research Center (CTRC). Donna Corsi also played a key role in the leadership and operations of the translational research component of an NIH-NIMHD U54 funded research grant. In 2002, Donna became a Partner and Consultant at Skupien Solutions, providing consulting expertise in clinical research program development to various medical centers and biotechnology firms. Donna Corsi was involved in strategic planning, business development, and sales & marketing strategies, contributing to the success of multiple projects. Prior to their current position, Donna worked at Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network as the Director of Employer Solutions and Clinical Program Development, designing data-driven clinical programs to improve patient experience and outcomes while reducing costs. Donna Corsi directly engaged with physicians and executives and reported outcomes to various stakeholders. Currently, they are Vice President of Growth and Innovation at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Donna Corsi Skupien completed their undergraduate studies at Boston College in 1993, earning a degree from the William F. Connell School of Nursing. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Florida Institute of Technology, completing their studies in 2018.
