Melody Walser has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on coding, revenue cycle operations, and health information management. Melody is currently serving as the Associate Vice President of Coding Operations and Health Information Management at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Prior to this role, they worked at UTMB as the Director of Coding, Revenue Cycle Operations, where they successfully increased charges and collections while identifying opportunities for staffing consolidation through automation. Melody has also held positions as a Practice Administrator, Facility Administrator, and Administrative Services Officer in various healthcare organizations, where they managed business operations, oversaw reimbursement analysis, and maintained payer relations. Melody has a strong background in training, auditing, and compliance, and has implemented education programs to ensure providers' billing practices are in compliance with regulations.
