Chester Hood

Chester Hood, M.S.Ed, currently serves as the Senior Associate Director of Admissions at Vanderbilt University since August 2021, following an interim role at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and several positions at Southern Illinois University, including Associate Director for Diversity, Alumni and College Relations. With extensive experience in admissions and student recruitment across various educational institutions, Chester Hood has demonstrated expertise in managing prospective student territories and enhancing institutional branding. Additional leadership experience includes serving as an Associate Minister at Hopewell MBC, where Chester Hood oversaw church operations and budget management, as well as customer service roles at Best Buy. Chester Hood holds a Master of Science in Education and a Bachelor of Science in Workforce Education & Development from Southern Illinois University.
