Irfan Ibrahim

Irfan Ibrahim is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at Vanderbilt University, focusing on the synthesis and analysis of rare earth zirconate ceramics for nuclear waste immobilization. Prior experience includes serving as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Tickle College of Engineering at the University of Tennessee, where research involved developing methods for analyzing nanostructures. Irfan has also held leadership roles, such as Vice Chair of the Tickle College of Engineering Ambassadors, representing the college to various stakeholders and conducting campus tours for prospective students. Additional experience includes a Medical Physics Internship at Provision Healthcare and a Lab Internship at PARKER TRUTEC INC, where responsibilities included chemical analysis and reporting. Irfan holds a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Tennessee and is pursuing a PhD in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering at Vanderbilt University.
