Jeffrey J. Rothschild

Vice-Chairman at Vanderbilt University

Jeffrey J. Rothschild was elected a Trustee in 2014. He earned a B.A. degree in 1977 and M.S. in 1979 from Vanderbilt.

Mr. Rothschild served as vice president of infrastructure engineering at Facebook from 2005-2015. After earning his master's degree in computer science, he has been a co-founder of several technology and software companies including Veritas Software. Mr. Rothschild is engaged in early stage technology and impact investing.

As an alumnus, Mr. Rothschild serves on Vanderbilt's Technology Transfer and Enterprise Development Advisory Committee and has participated in Bay Area Vanderbilt University alumni activities. He and his wife, Marieke, have supported the College Halls initiative and scholarships in the College of Arts and Science and School of Engineering.
