Melissa Gruntkosky

Melissa Gruntkosky is an accomplished UX/UI professional with extensive experience in digital strategy and design leadership. Currently serving as the Director of UX/UI at Vanderbilt University since October 2022, Melissa has built and led the institution's first dedicated UX/UI design team, focusing on enhancing enterprise digital experiences and implementing scalable design systems. Previous roles include Senior UX Web Designer at GoTo, where Melissa optimized product experiences, and Lead Experience Designer at Northeastern University, overseeing digital product strategies. Melissa's background also encompasses academic roles, including Senior Affiliated Faculty at Emerson College, and entrepreneurial experience as the founder of Pressbound, a letterpress stationery business. Educational qualifications include a BFA from Emerson College, a certificate in Graphic Design from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and an MFA in Graphic Design from Marywood University.
