Imko Jurgens has over 30 years of work experience in various roles within the manufacturing industry. Imko started their career at AkzoNobel, where they completed a research traineeship. Imko then joined Saint-Gobain, where they held positions such as product development engineer, quality manager, engineer in R&D, manager in R&D, and finally as plant manager of Adfors Nederland. In this role, they were responsible for the daily management of production and logistic processes, as well as leading the Operational Excellence program. Since 2014, Imko has been working at Vandersanden, initially as a plant manager and currently as the director of operations. Their responsibilities include overseeing the entire operational organization and ensuring the achievement of performance targets and the development of the company and its employees. Imko has a proven track record of implementing efficiency improvements and project planning systems to drive productivity and quality.
Imko Jurgens earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Organic Chemistry from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht) from 1992 to 1996. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Chemistry from Utrecht University from 1996 to 1998. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Ceramic Sciences and Engineering from Fontys Hogeschool Eindhoven in the academic year 2014-2015. Prior to their tertiary education, Imko Jurgens attended RSG Lingecollege in an unspecified period.
