Kate Pilkington

Kate Pilkington is an experienced maritime professional, currently serving as a Mate at VanEnkevort Tug & Barge, Inc. since October 2021. In addition, Kate contributes to research operations aboard the R/V David Boyd for the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum. Previous experience includes roles as AB/Mate with Great Lakes Maritime Academy, where responsibilities included bridge watch and training cadets. Kate's maritime background is complemented by positions as a deck cadet with both Crowley and Great Lakes Maritime Academy. Earlier work experience spans customer service roles at Chili's and Kohl's, a tax associate position at Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, and work-study at Kentucky Christian University. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's in Maritime Technology from Great Lakes Maritime Academy and a Bachelor's in Business Administration/Accounting from Kentucky Christian University.
