Avirup Sen Gupta

Avirup Sen Gupta is an experienced professional in data science and analytics, currently serving as CX Science and Analytics Manager at Vanguard since August 2025. Previously, Avirup held the position of Staff Data Scientist at Chewy from April 2020 to July 2025, where responsibilities included developing machine learning and optimization models for fulfillment centers. Prior to Chewy, Avirup was the Lead Data Scientist at Perr&Knight, focusing on data science solutions for pricing, underwriting, and risk selection models. Additional experience includes roles at AIG as Senior Scientist/Modeling Team Lead and at AIR Worldwide as a Scientist in Insurance Predictive Modeling. Avirup's academic background includes a PhD in Civil Engineering from Utah State University and a Master's degree from the University of Maine, complemented by extensive research experience in water resources and statistical modeling.
